While booking our vacay to LA we were having difficulties finding where we wanted to call home for 10 days. It was important for my Mom, Sister and I to find a hotel with great hospitality, cleanliness, food, refreshing decor, peacefulness and comfort. Our Mom discovered this darling country meets contemporary wonderland named, The Farmer’s Daughter that exceeded all our needs and wants. The Farmer’s Daughter is a Boutique Hotel on Fairfax between Melrose and 3rd Street. This piece of down home heaven is located right in the heart of Hollywood, California! The Farmer’s Daughter location is Purrrrfect It’s across the street from the Grove, Farmer’s Market, CBS studios and The Price is Right!!! When arriving to the hotel we pulled up to an eye catching blue and white plaid building. How fancy!
At the front desk they welcome their guests with fresh lemonade and homemade mesquite potato chips! YUMMMY! They even have pretty birdies to keep you company.
The rooms are even decorated with a warm country panache and cheerful colors. I unpacked and made myself at home! I LOVED these denim duvet covers. That’s so funnnnn!
Ok, now listen hear kiddos because I’m about to tell you important information to pass on to your taste buds…my favorite place in the entire hotel is their restaurant named TART! I ordered just about everything from their menu and out of those 10 days I was NEVER disappointed!
Tart is known for the best breakfast around but they definitely have a yummy dinner menu! (You might remember Vanessa and Angela Simmons chompin down on some delicious goodies on their show “Daddy’s Girls”, well they were at Tart!) My personal favorites for breakfast are the chicken and buttermilk waffles, pancakes and french toast! For dinner you MUST have the Cowboy steak! It just melts in your mouth! Ahhh, I’m getting hungry thinking about it! Oh and don’t forget to order dessert! Try the giant cookie sundae. Hmmm, I’m going to miss you Mr. Cookie sundae! Tart only uses fresh ingredients for their delicious meals and TRUST me you can taste the freshness! My apologies I don’t have any pictures of my meals. I couldn’t wait to savor the flavor of my food that I forgot to take pics. 😦 GREEDY!
Tart offers such a relaxing atmosphere. You can eat inside the restaurant or enjoy the outdoors and get cozy in one of their cabana booths! The pool is located across from the courtyard. What was really enjoyable for me, is to soak up the sun by the pool and then stroll over to Tart to fill my hungry tummy!
Beautiful landscaping…The Hotel is SPOTLESS! Housekeeping must work overtime because it’s very clean!
Those 10 days went by so quickly! We must admit we were sad leaving The Farmer’s Daughter. Not only because we’d miss the ambience but The Farmer’s Daughter staff became extended family. Each person gave us a warm welcome and really went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. With that said, we’d like to thank the ENTIRE staff and special individuals with great hospitality…Terry, Lewis, Ted, Harrison, Sergio, Linda and Evelyn (Please forgive me if I missed a few names).
