About Half United

Half United contacted me a few months ago asking for me to share their products on the blog for a great cause… feeding hunger! Half United began 5 years with a sister & brother duo, Christian and Carmin Black. With a passion to positively impact the lives of people in desperate need of nutrition. They began designing and creating products at their headquarters in Wilmington, North Carolina With these meaningful products they can not only support their local small business community, but make a revolutionary change in what it means to UNITE. Half United believes that the world’s current #1 health risk is hunger.

 Story Of The Bullet

“In the summer of 09′ founders Carmin and Christian Black came up with the idea of using recycled bullet casings to create what has now become their iconic “Fighting Hunger Necklace.” “We wanted to create a simple yet bold item for our customers to wear which would display their fight against hunger, and remind them of the child’s life they’ve changed.” Says Christian. “- Half United

Not only is Half United jewelry for a great cause but I actually think their necklaces are fresh, distinct and edgy. The bullet necklaces are a great way to add sparkle & shine to any outfit. Here I paired my necklaces with a simple black body-con dress and booties for a casual effortless look.
